Selecting a Target File Your target file is the file that will become your newly converted file. It can be an existing file which you want to over-write or a new file that doesn't yet exist. You can filter the file type by selecting from the "Files of type:" dropdown list.
The file name can also be typed into or changed within the Convert To text box. An incorrect path will generate an error. When using the DirectX encoder, the file name must have the correct file extension (AVI or MPG).
