Opening a Source Movie

Your source movie is the movie that you want to convert from the original format to a new format.

You can filter the file type by selecting from the "Files of type:" dropdown list.

Large files, especially files loaded from slow media such as a CD or DVD drive, can take a long time to load. The load process can be stopped by clicking the Stop button.

When loaded, details of the files parameters are displayed.

If the selected decoder cannot load the file the alternate will be tried. If both decoder engines fail an error message will be displayed that may provide information to help you. Most open errors are caused by bad indices or incorrect codecs. See troubleshooting for more information.
